Off to a roaring start for the PPH eventing team with Here To Stay winning the 2* at his first event for the year! Holy Bruce also put forward his best hoof with a leading test in the 3*, Belinda choosing not to run him xc until he is fit and raring to go at the next event after an extended summer holiday in knee high grass. We are really excited to see how these two go this season.
Team PPH kicked off the season with a fantastic time at the exceptional Yalambi Show Jumping Classic. It was the first competition of the year for Lucy, Jake and Bruce. All three horses jumped brilliantly with Bruce placing 6th in the competitive bronze class! We can’t wait to see what the year has in store for the team.
Emma has recently moved to Sydney to base with Alison Rowland and live at the gorgeous Oaks Sport Horses for the first half of the year. She has taken her team of 3 horses with her and is very excited to see how the season goes. We look forward to following her progress throughout the year.
We were very honoured to be awarded the prize for the winner of the eventing leaderboard on top of the very talented Airaz who excelled beyond our expectations last year with exciting results! Our other young eventing talent Here to Stay was close behind with a 3rd place overall. Our main sponsor, very excited owner and supportive father Ian Isbister was beyond pleased with his horses recognition in the WA eventing scene. A huge well done to everyone who received awards at the 2016 EWA Awards Night.
We had a brilliant weekend down in Margaret River on the picturesque Yalambi Farm Stud where the Hovell family ran this years State Showjumping Championships. We were stoked with Here To Stay who was 3rd in the very competitive Bronze class with a double clear round and Diamond B Catapulte was 4th in the Silver Series being one of only four clear rounds on the sunday. Lafayette and Falerio were also competitive picking up commendable ribbons throughout the 3 day show!
The show jumping team had a fantastic weekend at the Partons Cup Championship. Yalambi’s Falerio won the Newcomers Championship, and Diamond B Catapulte jumped into the second round of the Gaenor Mcinnes Memorial with one unlucky rail but was lucky enough to win best presented coming out with her own rug and a bottle of Veuve! We are super happy with these ponies and can’t wait for Yalambi’s State Championship show in a few weeks!
A fantastic five days at Perth Royal show this year. Yalambis Fiorenza claimed multiple placings over three days in the Part 3 around some very challenging tracks! Diamond B Catapulte was also a star gaining a 4th and 5th over the two days of Young Rider competitions. Promising results for these two horses.
